I agree... Lou was not the problem this past year... Van D was atrocious... and Canucks were banged up against Boston and couldn't match up physically. IF canucks had won... they would have been the lowest scoring team in post expansion history to win the stanley cup. 7 goals in the SCF... 2 shutouts for Lu in the SCF... where do you think the problem was?

Carl gunnarson is the msot valuable leaf defensemen in trade because of his contract, not because he is the best.

Luongo, well in a contract world, Luongo is as close to untradeable as you can get.

All I see in the NHL these days is how the young gun goalies From Niemmi to Holtby to Quick, all rise to the top. Even vancouver themselves is in this postiion because of schneider.
Having a goaltender locked up for ten years is a recipe for disaster (tag this for future LA reference).

agree 100%.. people forget quickly how bad goaltending can get.. i know we gotta go with schneids now but it terrifies me to lose a goalie like luongo.. hate him or love him he can play..

Why would they move him for komi? That makes no sense. Luongo is a great player with a horrible contract, komi is a horrible player with a horrible contract. And if he has to give him away I bet he picks Tall on over burke
