Or maybe we're not so different "Ill never cheer for the Jets, Im a Thrashers fan and always will be" Its safe to say that if you averaged it out leafs are the worst team post lockout. Only thing I can say to that is that they had one of the worst teams going into the lockout as far as prospects and skill per dollar, which was locked up with no trades. Not to mention JFJ. Burkes done better but not great. Hes both the NHLs straightest shooter and biggest bullpoopter at the same time

People are so stupid on here. How is Luongo's contract bad. He's got 6 years left at 5.3...... 5.3 isn't a lot for an elite goalie. I'm expecting a trade with Florida to be Bjugstad and Toronto Gardiner. Gillis is asking for more than that so that's a happy medium.

Luongo will get traded to the Panthers. Gillis is not going to do the Leafs and Brian Burke a favour by giving him Luongo for below value. He will however, compromise with Tallon, a GM that has a very good relationship with the Canucks.

He was, but even he had to battle adversity. Like the time he was in a motorcycle accident and broke BOTH arms! He committed himself to serious rehab and, naturally, he bounced back and was even tougher than before! Uncle J is the sh!t.

I know , I know it hurts that the return will be minimal. But given your organization depth isn't it true that no one on either the Panther's or Leaf's roster would even make your team - aren't the Canucks just that good?
