As previously mentioned, I'm not saying Burke should draft this or that person. I was just pointing out that Cherry wasn't bithing about not drafting canucks.....just female doging about not having enough locals kids on the current roster.

Cherry's point is accurate in that there's no ontario boys on the team...but for him to think Burke has done it on purpose or that Burke should go out of his way to make trades for players that may or may not be available is just ridiculous.

I fully believe, as much as burke frustrates me and how I think he just needs to shut the hell up, that Burke gets the best available player that he thinks he can get at the time...100% sold that he doesn't care about the birth certificate. Especially if the birth certificate is within north america. I would slightly agree that he leans towards NA's then Europeans.

That is exactly it. People make it out like its either Burke or Cherrys side. I like Cherry but this time he was an idiot. Burke said he didn't care where people come from he just goes for the best talent available. Cherry being stubborn was more or less offended that anyone suggest that the best player available might not be from Ontario. The key word Cherry missed is available. He went on to list players like crosby and stamkos who are top players from ontario but were never an option for leafs. Its not like he picked Kessel over crosby because Kessels american.
