This is good news! - Shelly
Yes indeed. Signing Gill fits our way and what we need. Now sign Gaustad. |

Somewhat echoing musings from Paul-Pete-Stu-Tom, but if the Suter/Parise, etc sweepstakes (not to mention the Schults clown-show) get crazy (which I think they are going to do) maybe that's ok. Time to move on and get back to the Predator way. Smart moves, hard work, perseverance, dedication to the game, and so on. - blueline
10 mil for suter is idiotic. i think 8 is ridiculous.if he gets that type offer then god bless him and let him go. im with ya on the pred way w/ one exception. lets sign or trade for a true scorer and get a little bigger and meaner |

And don't forget...let's trade Weber for a king's ransom if he won't sign an extension before the season starts! |

From this fan's standpoint it's time for just a little bit more humility, loyalty and sacrifice from a couple of the big boys.
If not that, then an Atlas Van Lines rig. And if it's Weber, then yeah, a giant Brinks truck full of offer-sheet 1st rounders. And a sincere desire for a multi-year bottom-five finish to the team that steals him. (And the same for the team that vastly overpays Suter too, for that matter.) |

If Crosby, arguably the best player in hockey, accepts $8.7million a year, how can anyone justify that or more for Ryan Suter? Should that not be the new high watermark? |

You sir are using logic something which leaves GM's minds this time of year. It is just like any other auction type situation, you get caught up in the bidding frenzy and over-spend. that is the reason that the salary cap has been such a boom to the league as a whole. Keeps the idiots running the asylum from breaking it. |

I'm very glad Gill re-signed with us. I guess some people really were taking his quotes out of context about us being a city who doesn't talk about hockey on game day. Him and Ellis will be an interesting 3rd pairing for sure. |

Here's a bit of twisted brightness for the day: Mr. Rimmsillie's net worth continues its drastic plummet. Back in '08 RIMM shares were worth north of $138.00 apiece. Another huge drop today has them at the $7.50 mark - roughly a 95% loss.
Let's see now ... RIMM shares owned by the big-talking, self-anointed hockey god, aka Mr. Crackberry Queen, which were worth around $3.4 billion ($3,400,000,000.00) in '08, have now fallen to a new low today of approximately $185 million ($185,000,000). Still planning on stealing a team Ass Head? Paying cash? You could use a Payday Loan outfit. Maybe.
Took your eye off the ball didn't you you arrogant jerk. How many small investors and company employees did you royally screw over dirt bag? I bet you're still a real mover & shaker in the hockey world, leaving other wealthy owners quaking in their boots. You and your "just chill" sidekick. Screw you Jim Balsillie. |
