Yes Schneider loves it here. He wants to be the starter here. He'll wait and sign a long term extension. Markstrom has his question marks. It's not certain his knees will hold up and it's not certain he'll stay there long term. He hasn't been that consistent at the AHL level or shown the best attitude to warrant a starting position in the NHL. He's got all the talent in the world but with some question marks. Ummmm Luongo has around 6 years left. Not playing out the last four. - Boinker
the guy is 27 how much longer is he going to wait.. |

The Bruins are in a tough negotiating spot with Tuukka. They need him now with Thomas out, and Rask/Thomas have the same agent. I'm sure the Bruins want a longer deal, but his agent would only want one year so Rask can get a huge raise if he has a great season and being a UFA after a one year deal. Smart move for Rask, his side has the leverage. - GSDIV
Rask has also said publicly that he wants to stay in Boston and it's not about the money for him. I know every player says that, but I guess we'll what happens. It's Tuukka time full time in Boston this year |

Are you really asking if time on ice includes minutes not on the ice but in the penalty box? |

Yup, but the Canucks would match up to 5 mill. - I-own_da-Northwest
It sucks though Vancouver wouldn't be able to trade him for up to a year after matching...I think you'd only see a one year offer from a team, though there is inherent risk for them as well in doing so. |

He might love it in Van...but the key is he wants to be starter, and as long as Lu is there he knows that he probably won't be...
So threatening to sign a 1yr deal lights a fire under Gillis' ass to do something with Lu...
This is the worst thing that could happen for the Nucks... |

I have no doubt he loves it in Van. However, at his age, he doesn't have forever to establish himself as a number one while having Luongo's shadow hang over the teams for the next few years. Gillis has to get on it, my gut feeling is he'll get offer sheets on July 1st, as will Rask. |

I don't care what happens but I honestly don't see Lou playing till he is 41 let alone 43 same with Hossa same will Kovy none of these guys will play untill their contracts expire. Who the hell wants to bust there balls staying in shape for 8 minutes of ice time at that age and 1 mil after all the millions they have made or ride the pine all season on top of giving up even more years away from their families for what ? because they are signed that long ? lol i dont see it happening |
