10. Nail Yakupov hinted that he wouldn't mind the Oilers having another Russian player around for him next season. Does this comment save Nikolai Khabibulin's job?
No. You told us yesterday theres no way Khabbis on the roster, remember?
You think Pavelec is worth what he received? Over his career he has a .907 save % and a 3.00 goals against average... He's nothing special at all. 20 million over 5 years? Give me a break...

lol, not sure what you think Dubnyk and Schneider and guys like them are going to get paid when they become starters, but you can likely use Pavelec as a pretty good gauge. The overall stats for Pavelec are kind off deceiving, he generally has a few real high scoring games against, but is definitely capable of stealing wins for the team. When was the last time we could say that?

For fans that have to constantly defend guys like Hemsky and Gagner from comments from mouths of those who clearly have never watched them play....well....your all just being very ironic right now. Ill say that.

Dubnyk has actually had the same SV% and a lower GAA than Pavalec in the last 3 seasons.

Why do i care about defending guys like hemsky and gagner on a social media site as useless, unproductive and irrelevant as hockey buzz???
Will you please change your team back to the flyers so you dont have to get all whiny and defensive when someone makes a joke about the jets and their overpaid goalie. Thanks.

Yeah, sure, in a sheltered back-up role. I like Dubie, and I hope he makes the leap to started this season, but if he does, and is able to hold onto his numbers, then expect to be paying him as much or more than Pavelec when his next contract is up.

I think Schneider is going to blow Pavelec and Dubnyk out of the water
