Not trying to be a homer and say everyone is coming to Toronto, but Burke has a real chance of knocking it out of the park this off season. If we acquired Schultz, Parise, Doan, & Prust.... good god. Hadn't realized the cap has gone up to 70mil as well.
Any speculation at the offers Parise will be getting? I would venture to say Burke would fire out 7mil for 6 years. |

What if there's a stoppage and the cap get's lowered? That would be quite the monkey wrench. Though I'm not sure how they'd approach that after the summer of spending. |

Not to burst your bubble but Burke said in an interview tonight that he isn't going to be pursuing big free agents this off-season. He is going after players with size and he won't risk the long-term future of the club to save his job. I for one think we can expect a few more trades to tinker but nothing major.  |
