I was told I was wrong for a long time about Crosby's extension and how he would have to take more to appease the NHLPA. I said Sid would stay "in the area" of his current deal. Boom. Sorry, not in my nature to do that but I took a lot of grief for that opinion.

I figured it would have been 9ish per year. Good on the Pens. Shero is doing a damn fine job over there. They have got Key pieces locked up for a long time.

Crosby could have demanded maximum deal of 12 years, $168.48 million. And the Pens would have given him what he wanted.
