IMO, that makes the Sabres WAY more attractive to any UFA we'd like (parise?!)...
And I also like the idea of going after Ott

Maybe I switch those top2 lines around a little, but u get the point...
We get A LOT tougher
We add some skill and goal scoring... Ott prob get back close to 20goals playing w those wingers
And we add some GREAT leadership

What better 3guys to bring in to show guys like stafford, vanek, etc what it means to play w 110% effort night in, night out?

Of course, this also means trading Roy (Ott +?, phx for Doan's rights +?)...
And SOMEHOW get rid of leino? (that'll be tough)

The payroll wouldnt make sense with adding parise and doan. Swapping roy for ott would only free up a million or so in space. Adding parise and doan would probably somehwereh in the 12 million dollar range

i dont think roy, adam, pysyk and a 1st is a lot. considering we would be giving them two possible three prospects we dont need.

I can't say which one I'd rather have because I haven't seen Pysyk play. I don't want them getting rid of either of them. Move Sekera. Or Weber. Regehr and Leopold only have 1 year left on their deals. I'd even be ok with them moving Brennan. He might be a decent defenseman, but I wasn't overly impressed or anything.

vanek, brennan, adam, gauthier-leduc, sundher, and picks for ryan and lydman

if vanek had 4 years left instead of 2, I would make that move
