too much...a 2nd, tops
- b0s0o1

there is enough talent to tempt tampa to trade stamkos

never going to happen but if you offered them the two "g's" a few d prospects, foligno ennis and miller

I am sure they would think about it for a minute

Got a couple UFA names to throw out there for a 3rd/4th liners in case both deals and the obvious that Doan/Parise fall through..

So we know we all would love Prust, Konopka, Arnott, Langenbrunner.. and then there are the other connected names like Goose, and Olli...

What about....

Lee Stempniak - Buffalo boy.. constant 25-40 pt seasons
Alexei Ponikarovski - Not crazy for him.. but a HUGE body.. pts going down hill.
Jay McClement - love this choice.. he has been commonly named
Steve Sullivan - 37 year old forward - small but when healthy puts up 45+ pts
Daniel Winnik - young big body guy who puts up 20+ pts
Jeff Halpern - older big body guy.. comparable to Goose in many facets but cheap
Arron Asham - we all know he will F people up
Tannar Glass - LAYS THE BODY.. 10th in the NHL in hits with 246.
Scott Nichol - nice sappy veteran, very small and no points really put up.

ryan will not get that much, i really like the kid, but people are overvaluing him. Literally giving up more than would it cost to get an actually superstar like Kovie a few years ago.
- Mentalorgasm5

Kovalchuk in theory was a rental. Bobby Ryan has 3 years left on a good contract.

"The Detroit Red Wings, thought to be a favorite to sign the coveted 21-year-old blueliner, were told Thursday that Schultz would not be signing with them.

"I was told we are not on his list of teams," Red Wings GM Ken Holland told the Detroit News. "We expressed our interest to his agent (Don Meehan). They went over all the information (Wednesday)."

it's the agent

looks as if he's canadian-centric with a strong desire to play out west...

plus...

he's looking to cash in on his bonuses which would take him to well over $3m
