baker said on wgr, or was it hamilton, either or
he could end up in rochester if he signs
not sure how because he is 18 - homiedclown
I get it that Girgensons would have to play in college for a year or some canadian league because he is too young to play in the AHL..
but whats the deal with Grigorenko?
EDIT: Answered.. NVM. |

now how the whole prospects to the NHL path.. I don't understand...
So why can he not play in the AHL???? - JVince11
http://prospectsannex.blo...y-juniors-have-to-be.html
so because he played in canada, he cant play in the ahl and because Girgensons played in the states, he can
unless the euro rule applies to him, then he does not have to go back to quebec

"Specifically, the rule says that if a player played in junior before they were drafted by the NHL, then they have to either be 20 years old by Dec. 31 OR have played four years of junior in order to play in the minors . That second condition rarely comes into effect. It would only apply to players who began in the CHL at age 15."

if you play in the USHL the age thing doesn't apply... i believe Brayden Schenn used that rule |

not sure it's gonna matter...
methinks grigs is hell-bent upon playing in the nhl this season...wouldn't be surprised if he made the team...
just look at their center-depth, especially if (when?) roy gets moved |

Brayden Schenn played in the U?
how did I not know that.. I f'n coached in the U and would continuously hawk other teams to see if they have any guys high up in NHL scouts minds..
I saw Girgens play up close multiple times.. Trouba, Matteau..
Right now Kopitar's little brother plays from the Des Moines Bucs and I go watch him play quite frequently. |

wait.. you guys think Girgensons is hell-bent on the NHL?? BoSoo was talking about Girgenson not Grigorenko...
If we had 2 1st round picks in Buffalo in their first years that would realllllly say something about the future of this team. |

if opportunity knocks for them to get a thorton-type, by all means go for it...
if they need to simply add a grey-beard, like an arnott-type, that would still be a good addition for the youngin's down the middle |
