If Regier trades Grigorenko, I just might go ape sh'it. He's the player the Sabres have wanted in the draft, but haven't had to tank a season or trade up to get.
There's plenty of players and picks that this team has to use as trade assets. We'll be gettin Griggy with it next season, I can assure all of you.

#1 you can't assure anything.
#2 don't get all wound up on the hype provided by pseudo-NHL magazines and youtube videos. We have yet to see this kid play among the big boys.
marc andre gragnani completely tore it up in the a and that has translated into nothing
marcus foligno put up ok #s in the a and then came to the nhl and all of the sudden was a monster
ray bourques son (recently traded to boston then signed) has been like a ppg player in the ahl over the last couple of years but just cant seem to hack it in the nhl

the tweet said the ducks wanted 3 for ryan and as much as I dog staff, I would not give grigs and staff for ryan, let alonemore

now we are thinking alike
ryan is going to get you 30 goals and 60 points a year in a full season
staff is going to get you at least 50 points in a full season
ryan is an upgrade to staff and I am all for moving a pick and an ok prospect plus staff for the upgrade, but no way I overpay and hamper what we have coming up.
I would walk away from that option and move on - homiedclown
staff pysyk and a first is probably too much.. however staff, adam and a 1st has to be considered.. adam at this point is a non factor for this team.. he will be passed on the depth chart at center this season if not next by grigs (i hope)

Adam is now probably going to be a winger on the Sabres. Center is just too full of prospects at this point.

simply put, they may (operative word) have gotten themselves a top-five/top-three player in the draft...
the type of player that they've coveted in the draft for a long time
