Ok, I'm gonna put some things out there. If you agree, cool. If not, well I don't really care because we go through this every year in late June-Mid July.

If Shane Doan leaves the Desert, I HIGHLY doubt he comes to Buffalo to do so. If I'm not mistaken, his wife is from there, and family has grown up there. If he's leaving I would like to think he's gonna go play with Crosby or Malkin in Pittsburgh, or even places like NYR or Boston.

IF we are in on Bobby Ryan, expect to pay. This Roy Sekera and a pick thing WILL NOT work. This isn't NHL '12 people, it's real life. They want good young pieces to help them grow, not an Expiring Contract Center with issues, a streaky D-man with some upside and a Pick. Expect to pay a price that includes one of: Myers, Ennis, or Grigs. One of those would probably go with another roster player as well. Bobby is a 30 goal scorer and he did it again last season while on the 3rd line and off the PP.

On the Roy note, still. This BS of Roy for Ott doesn't make sense. Not in the least. I'm not sure why Ott is even on the market, or if he actually is. For all we know it's just a bunch of teams calling and them not shutting the door on them. If they do move him, again, it will NOT be for A center with issues and an Expiring contract, in fact, they just traded one in Ribeiro so why pick up another? If they move him it will be for good young pieces that they can grow around guys like Benn and Goligoski.

Another quick note: I'm 99% sure @HockeyyInsiderr is a farce. Just look at the spelling. He's hawking off another decent source with a similar handle.

Im sure theyd have to move a Roy and/or Sekera to fit him in, but its worth it IMO

Gotta beat out the Pens, Rangers, Leafs, Wild and maybe 5 other teams. Sabres would have to show him that WE ARE the team that can win a cup.......

Am i the only person that would want hodgson traded long before ennis??

Atleast ennis has found great chemistry with linemates... Hodgson didnt really prove as much..

Either way stafford will not be traded..

Roy for ott is a good trade.. what the ott+ part is intrigues me.

I think this whole news piece shows that darcy thinks the chancea of parise are gone

Agree otally with 1, slightly agree with 3, although I still say its entirely possible they view Roy as a better center then what they had.

On number 2, I think too many people here and elsewhere seriously overvalue Bobby Ryan.

Ryan is a GOOD player, but he is far from great. Hes played his entire career slotted next to 2 GREAT players and hasnt yet distinguished himself as an elite player, or even a great player

I really think you can land him without giving up a gigantic piece, especially someone of Myers or Grigs. And IF, and I do mean IF, Buffalo were ever to give up Ennis in this deal, they would not be paying much more then Ennis and 1 moderate piece

Oh, and we can be sure that many teams won't be signing any New CBA unless that quirk that allows Schulz to be a UFA is fixed. I almost think it's kind of grimy on his part.

Ryan was not with RPG often this year. He gets #2 PP time. Still got 30 goals and still plays physical and hard. Ducks don't have to move him whether Ryan made those comments or not. They hold the cards.

I have a gut feeling, same as I did last year with Leino at this time, and I was right.

That feeling says we're going to sign Parentau. Which, if you place him with Hodgson or Ennis may not be a terrible thing. But for the most part I think he'll have trouble living up to that contract he will get. I know The Isles are pretty cheap, but there's gotta be a reason they won't give him the cash.

Haven't you heard? Ennis sekera and a first is the new Roy sekera and a first. That proposal was so a few hours ago.

The only player I'd trade for Ryan is Vanek, otherwise, I'd walk away. Bobby Ryan is not a must have. Hes not worth 2 roster players (no matter who they are) a prospect and a 1st or 2nd round pick. Too many pieces for 1 player that isnt even "the guy" in ANA.

Parise > Ryan

The only cost for Parise is cap hit. He will sign a 7-8 year contract worth about 6.75 against the cap. He will receive 50% of the contract money in the first 3 years. Theres only few teams looking to go hard after Parise that can pay him that type of money up front without it hurting their pockets.

honestly if im Parise and everything he said his true I'm coming to Buffalo. He would be "the man", he would play for a winner in a hockey hotbed and he would be playing on a perenial cup contender(with him that is)
