Well put. If I was you guys I wouldn't want him either. Obviously he has talent, but has he really shown that he's a winner? That he has what it takes to come through when it matters most? He's had several years on a very good team to prove that he doesn't.

Mueller could prove interesting, will probably have a few teams kicking the tires. Not sure what our 4th line will look like this year, Comeau could work out as well.

I think Gillis wants to know what he has on the roster so he can figure out what he will need on July 1st and how much he might have to play with to get those pieces.

Why does no one ever mention Shane Doan for the Canucks. I cannot think of a better RH power fwd to play with the Sedins. Of all the names mentioned as aquisitions, I would put Weber and Doan on the top of any wish list

I don't think it's a lock, but I think the odds are good he returns. The thing is that things can happen, and a team can decide to go in another direction.

The entire league would. He also has some off ice issues. MG would laugh at that suggestion, he values character and of course he likes his stats and Barker's metrics are hideous.

I'd love Moss for our bottom 6 but the rest of those players are not a fit. Fehr is very soft for his size and not that good defensively, trouble staying healthy as well. Esposito is an AHL'er. Huselius is very skilled, but injury-prone and known for his disappearing acts after the all-star break.

Latendresse and Cory Sarich would be good "reclamation" type signings.
