At this point Doan's top 2 choices where he'd like to play are Vancouver and Montreal. Will look to see if #Canucks or #Habs have interest.

The team would be stupid to not ask about Doan.

Don't buy into that... EVERY team will have interest... and Doan will narrow it down to a combination of term... dollars... competition level and quality of living for his family.

There is at least 6 teams that would be willing to meet those demands.

Which would put Montreal at a disadvantage... he wants to win NOW... and Montreal would not be near the top for someone looking to win now.

For Doan to already have narrowed it down to two teams before July 1st seems a bit pre-mature.

My opinion was based off of comments he has made over the past little while.... has discussed wanting a little bit of security for his family (not moving each year for the next 3-4 years) as well as wanting a chance at the cup. Which would almost immediately eliminate Montreal.

I am not sure he needs the money anymore. I heard about a year ago he ws interested .He came on the 1040 and said back then he may see whats out there .
