you need that killer instinct....voracek holds on and rags with the puck so does giroux most of the time...cant have two guys that do that on same line....this would be an awesome setup:

Hartnell - - - Giroux---- Ryan
PForward Playmaker Sniper

this is meh:

Hartnell - - - Giroux---- voracek
PForward Playmaker playmaker

- Philly1980

Hartnell --- Giroux --- Jagr
PForward Playmaker Playmaker

This line didn't do too bad. They turned Hartnell into a sniper. Voracek may do a nice job of filling the Jagr gap if he doesn't resign. Or, if you want a sniper... Allow Schenn to develop into that role.

Nothing against you. I made an opinion and people are getting all crazy over it. I'm past it and apologized for it.

Is this person credible?

Greg Wyshynski - I think so and he does write for Yahoo sports and would think if NHL Home ice has him on, he is credible

I'm well aware of that. Regardless, they don't have 10M to spend.

I did my break down earlier on what it would take for each guy to reach the 30,40,50 goal mark based on shooting percentage from last year. It really is night and day which is why i dont want voracek playing with giroux.

Bobby Ryans 15.2%
30 goals - 197 shots | 40 goals - 263 shots | 50 goals - 328 shots

Voracek 9.5%

30-goals -315 shots | 40 goals - 421 shots | 50 goals - 520 shots

Jagr 11.2%
30-goals -267 shots | 40 goals - 357 shots | 50 goals - 446 shots

For fun and i know ill get flamed!
Nash 9.8%
30-goals -306 shots | 40 goals - 408 shots | 50 goals - 508 shots

Shooting %'s fluctuate. Bobby Ryan can't be expected to maintain a 15.2% every season, nor should we expect Jagr to post another 11.2% next year.

Voracek is a strange case.

I have followed and unfollowed him a number of times. He's at times knowledgeable, other times snarky, and at all times trying to create more clicks/views on his site. Just keep that last part in mind.

his average is 14.4 and was as high as 17.8. Low is 12.6. If he can stay 14/15 easily 40 goal scorer on that line.

I proposed a Bourdon, Voracek and 2nd rd pick for Ryan. Now is that an overpayment? Possibly. But I'm sure there are people who would or wouldnt make that deal.

I don't see why Parise is a pipe dream. It's unlikely sure, but the financial flexibility is there to make it happen.

Cause they would have to get rid of players or not sign Carle. Thats no different then trading Ryan for Mez, Cousins, pick.

Flyers would lose a defenseman.

This stuff is starting to remind me of the summers of 2009, 2010, & 2011 where the Flyers were "losing" scoring each year and folks were wondering where it would come from.

Mesz is a good, young d-man sure, but there options available in FA that would make him replaceable was my point, and we'd have the room to sign one too if we deal him and Jake for Ryan.

Hopefully that's clearer.

They could re-sign Carle and sign Parise.

The Flyers can spend up to $77.3 million. That's 10% over the cap.

I dont think scoring will be an issue if they arent in the bottom 10 in Gaa. Have to be better defensively and net.

They still need to get back to the cap before the season starts dont they?
