About the only trade I'd be content with for Ryan would be Mesz and a 1st and maybe even a 2nd too. I could care less if Ryan can score 40 goals. How many 40 goal scorers did the Kings and Devils have? I'd rather have players like Voracek and Read who are committed to team defense.

I know your strickly saying forwards but you still have to put value into Schenn b/c hes an upgrade on your roster. So basically they can add Ryan, Schenn, 4th line center for Voracek, JvR, Bourdon.

Thats if they dont trade Mez. I'm sure they would have to add a pick in though to even make it work. However, I believe Anaheim wants Schenn or Couturier but thats not happening so lets go after Doan.

You never know how a player is going to mesh. Theres a chance that Ryan doesnt score more than his usually 30-35 goals playing with Giroux.

I would to. I think Doan is the player to target. Lets be real the Flyers dont have the money to get Parise. So that pipe dream needs to end imo.

1) Ryan isn't jumping at the first thing they can. He's a local product, youth Flyer, and Clarke is his godfather. He has ties to the organization and would be a great fit here.

2) I don't think dealing a top 6 forward and d-man is "breaking the bank". Mesz is easily replaceable.

I cringe when I read statements like this. How talented and still fairly young quality defenseman like Meszaros is easily replaceable. Well then why are team always looking for top 4 defenseman. As if Meszaors is just some spare part that we can throw away. Because there's plenty of replacements just floating around in limbo, waiting to be give a job.

i'm okay with only signing one and seeing what we've got from Sestito, Harry the Z, Mangene, McGinn, Holmstrom, etc.

there are always call up situations due to injuries, so they'd be able to get a look at those guys then. not sure about sestito's waiver status, however. that could be relevant

Every play has his positives and negatives about his game. Two years ago people were questioning Voracek (b/c he was lazy in Columbus) and now people are acting like hes untouchable. Not saying you specifically. I just find that kind of funny.
