After Timonen, the flyers sure do have a young defense. |

A bombshell report released by the local media in Anaheim regarding talented forward Bobby Ryan and his frustration with the Anaheim Ducks organization certainly created some additional drama on Day One of the 2012 NHL Draft.
While much attention was originally bestowed on the availability of premier F Rick Nash of the Columbus Blue Jackets, eyes quickly turned to the west coast after Bobby Ryan sat down with local media and unleashed a torrent of fury in the direction of the Anaheim Ducks front office:
"Anaheim to me has been a team over the past year that really has shown me nothing to prove that they want me here, unfortunately," he told the New Jersey Courier-Post. "Obviously, it's not the ideal situation. When you get drafted, you want to win championships with that team and every time they look to add a piece to the puzzle, I'm the piece going the other way."
GM Bob Murray made it clear that he'd talk to Bobby Ryan about his distress with the current situation, but Murray did not go as far as dismissing the twenty-five year old's potential spot on the trading block.
And, in light of recent moves -- notably, the trade of D Lubomir Visnovsky to New York -- one has to wonder if this is all setting up for a major overhaul in Anaheim.
Bobby Ryan won't be had at a cheap price, though -- inquirers should understand that first-line wingers don't become readily available often, and Ryan is fresh-off his fourth-consecutive thirty-goal season out west. - stveshdy
Again, none of that is Anaheim publicly putting it out there that they are shopping Ryan. That is not a press release, or blog, or whatever you want to call it, that was generated by Anaheim. And there are no direct quotes. |

Yes I am..... S% is an indicator of how many of the players shots go in the net, you know making shots count.... - Philly1980
You could take 1 shot and score one goal all year and have a shooting % of 100. Lots more factors than just shooting percentage need to be considered. It's low on my list of stats I look at when evaluating a player. |

If the GM didnt deny the report I believe hes available. Thats just my opinion. Which I believe makes him on the market. After everything that was said the Anaheim organization never said "NO BOBBY RYAN ISNT AVAILABLE". |

He doesn't have to. I have not seen where Anaheim has publicly stated that they are, or were shopping Ryan. As I said before, I feel that Ryan has overracted to the media reports and rumors. And Murray is likely going to explain to Ryan that the Ducks can't control what is put out there in blogosphere and what rumors are thrown about. |

I'm not saying Ryan is or isn't available. That's not my point. My point is that I keep reading that Anaheim put it out there publicly that they were shopping Ryan. If they did, I haven't seen that. |

Thats your opinion. Any GM whos player isnt available should have no issue making a statement that "Ryan isnt available". This is one opinion vs another at this point. |

I would assume his asking price might be even higher than Ryan. |

Everyone is available at the right price, including, and especially including, Bobby Ryan.
Murray wanted to take Ryan aside to tell him to shut his yap. That by mouthing off, it reduces Murray's leverage which may result in Ryan staying put in Ana until the end of the 2015 season. |

Has Holmgren said any of his players are untouchable? Hes also traded many players that he's said weren't available, so I don't think it matters too much what they say/don't say. Everyone is available at the right price. |

I agree. However, a player can be shopped around the league without it being public knowledge (was king of my point). |

Anaheim never stated they were shopping him. If they come out now and say they aren't, but then get wowed by an offer and end up trading him, they'd look pretty stupid so I think they elect to say nothing, because what's the advantage? |
