I went this year, it's cool. I mean, it's basically a bunch of hockey gear in glass cases, but that's cool. The big trophies are all in a domed room that looks like a church, it's kind of over-the-top and funny. The major trophies don't look nearly as impressive when they're not all shined up for tv, though. Some of them kind of look like crap, but I guess they are pretty old. It is pretty cool to just hang out and study the Cup as long as you want though. - Zezel
I know I've been a few years back the trophy room was by far my favorite place I felt so intimidated it took me a while to actually go up to the Stanley cup and get my picture taken with it the trophy room is just awesome

Yeah, I took a picture with my finger touching the 1967 Leafs engraving. You kind of feel like if you tried to pick up the Cup a giant boulder would roll over you

I would of done the same with all of the habs cups but I ran out of fingers and toes
Guys, come on, you know Ek isn't concerned with facts. It's about how fast he can post something he overheard. remember?
basically what EK did was listen to NHL Home Ice as he does everyday (just between us, that's one of his "sources")... and Scott and Jim mentioned that Mats was the leading scorer of ONE of the original 6 teams. Not all, but EK in his rush to post something about the Leafs to generate hits, let his fingers type before his brain can catch up (that happens a lot) and types
" The all-time leading scorer of any original 6 franchise. Think about that!"
so not only did he type something to confirm his stupidity, he threw the comment "Think about that!" in there for reassurance. Don't worry EK, we know how smart you really are. No need to convince us.
When THE PHUCK is The Hall going to show Steve Larmer some PHUCKING RESPECT ?
He's got 1 more ring than Oates, Sundin and Bure COMBINED. He was one of THEE BEST 2 WAY FORWARDS OF HIS era, while maintaining a level of consistency and durability unmatched during his career. 11 years without missing a game, averaging just over a point a game overall, while registering a plus/minus of +203 for his career.
He won the Calder in 1983 AND he was a key member of the '91 Canada Cup team, scoring a key insurance goal in the clinching game. That probably doesn't count, but his NHL career was stellar and as everyone knows...he displayed Hall of Fame humility throughout.
Gramps also registered 131 points in 140 NHL playoff games, including his 16 points in 23 games during the Rangers Cup run in 1994.
He also resigned from the NHLPA as a matter of principle, further enshrining himself as a stand up guy.
The other guys, especially Sakic are all deserving, but so too is my all time hero Steve Larmer.
And what about Joe sakic what an amazing career this Guy had, selected 15th overall in 1987 by thé Québec nordiques Joe played his entire 20 season with the ame organization Reaching the 100 point mark 6 times a thirteen time allstar getting 22 points which places him 3rd all time Behind Gretzky and Mario Lemieux ? He won 2 Stanley cups earning him a conn smyth in 96 He is also the author of 19 game winning goals in the playoffs Which 8 were in overtime. Winner of the junior and senior world championships the world cup and not to forget Olympic gold. Captain for 16 years joe Sakic truly belongs in the hall of fame I mean what a career wow
Gives me goosebumps what a player - GoHaBsGo56
Agreed. My favorite player of all-time, and I'm a Sharks fan.
This video is obviously made for Ray Bourque, but it just gives me even more respect for Mr. Sakic.

Can anyone tell me how to post videos on here? - sjsharks92
I believe you go to a video on youtube, click "share", "embed" and then copy and paste the link they give you onto this. For example, since he's in the hall now I'll just put up a highlight of Pavel Bure.

Thanks
As I was saying, this is one of many reasons why I love Joe Sakic
I think Mogilny should be in the hall too. First Russian to defect, led to Bure, Federov coming to the NHL. 50th all time in goals, 69th in points, 1 of only 5 players in NHL with over 1000 points in less than 1000 games. Tied for 5th for goals scored in a single season.

I agree, he was awesome on the Leafs, and the stats speak for themselves

I think allot of people liked Almo, pure sniper, and hear he was a laugh in the room.He will def. be in the hall someday.
Ek you are the nicest, boldest, smartest, sharpest........
Ah (frank) who am I kidding. - KABLOOEY
Curious that that he isn't "hearing" more chatter with less than a week leading up to July 1. Either there's very little going on or, more likely, we'll be inundated with an explosion of signings that "came out of nowhere."
