Yeah, it’s Bure…. Over a point per game. It’s a shame the guy didn’t last longer, but holy crap was he awesome. Almost four 60 goal seasons. He was sick.

But if you take, say, Jeremy Roenick's first 12 seasons (capturing all of his prime and eliminating his decline), his PPG blows Bure's out of the water.
I just don't believe the Hall should be for players who burn hot and burn out quickly. There are a number of non-HOF guys for whom you could find 4 very good seasons.
The Hall should be reserved for a lifetime of greatness. That's what separates the HOF calibre guys from the merely very good players. |

Sundin and shanny were the exact same "type" of player. And shanny was clearly better. Shanny was on better teams, but that doesnt matter. If it did half the habs in the hall should be kicked out. |

Sundin is completely deserving, although I really think that Shanahan is way more deserving of the nod this year. No real connection to either, but to me the choice was Shanahan.
Shanny has more goals, points, and games played (same for playoffs) and 3 cups to 0. |
