I dont think there is one player in the league today that can play mean, be physical and score goals like Wendel did, that guy was a heart and soul player.

But yes, Lucic is really the closest player to Clark in todays game, except he's much bigger

I think Sundin's captaincy was not appreciated until he was gone. He basically carried this team on his back and did it with class for pretty much his whole career.

Wendel was a heart and soul guy you loved. If you wanted someone to have your back, it would be Clark.

If you wanted someone to lead you, and lead by example, it would be Sundin.

Yes that would be funny but I think Leary might be a tad sensitive.. Steve Simmons would have a field day with him.. he has to be one of the most annoying reporters.. also Howard in his day.. until he got canned.. I almost felt sorry for him at one point.. then I remembered some of he critical unfair reports he made.. and felt better about it!

He deserved to call the shot on it.. although his legacy would've been 10 fold if he had taken a number of 1 year deals.. and got us some prospects in return.

It needs work.. but it also led the league early in the season... until some of the softies started to get mushier.

There are at least 3 top players up there.. we will see if JVR can make it 4 and if Kulemin can get back on stride.

You know what, I always thought he was a pompous a$$ when he used to troll Leafs fans and somehow blame us for the state of the team. I think Leafs fans are receptive to criticism of the on-ice product and staff but to personally attack fans on a regular basis was very unprofessional and his blogs on this site have gone from the most commented on to practically irrelevant and it was his own doing. Treat people with respect and maybe you receive some in return.
