I was wondering how long it would take before the "Sundin screwed the leafs" portion of the fanbase would show up. - Pecafan Fan

He had injury issues too....more like he was an above a point-per-game player when healthy. - Juice
Yeah, it’s Bure…. Over a point per game. It’s a shame the guy didn’t last longer, but holy crap was he awesome. Almost four 60 goal seasons. He was sick.
Is that the very first Vancouver Canuck to get in the HHOF???
LOL. |

Still seems like a stretch. Many more players would have inflated PPG averages if they only played through their primes and quit.
Oh well, the H.H.O.F. has been so watered down lately, what's a little more? This makes it pretty hard to exclude Lindros (another guy who shouldn't make it). And Osgood will be in soon enough, too.
In 10 years, they'll be inducting a dozen players each month and handing out participant ribbons at the door.

Excellent. That's a GREAT class of HOFers. I'm glad Bure got recognized as well. That dude was insane before his injuries. |

I'm sorry, but there's no way 779 points should get you into the Hall.
I know it was only over 12 seasons, but that's got to be a joke. It's still only an average of 65 points per season.
Surely you jest, NHL. - Leeman4Gilmour
Maybe because its the hockey hall of fame and not the NHL hall of fame.
but really these discussions are idiotic.. the guy was an awesome player, worth paying NHL prices to go see play.

It's tough to argue that.
Although I strongly feel Lindros should be in the HHOF. Awesome career messed up by injuries. |
