so taking BPA would be MacKinnon, you do not, i repeat do not pass up on a potential franchise center who scouts compare to crosby

This. Gillis has been hanging out with Howson too much.
- Boosinicka

Him asking for Couture ++ in the Nash deal is ridiculous, Couture might even be the better player when its all said and done

but as for Nash...I do believe Toronto to be his #1 choice. Howson knows it, and I believe Burkie knows it as well...This a classic case of who will blink first...and it's being played by two of the finest...

Ek's take on Howson.......one of the finest.

Passing up on a guy compared to Crosby is understandable for a guy compared to Pronger.

But I agree, I'd go with MacKinnon... It's just that if the scouts in TO think Jones is better, they should take him.

He's pointing out that Kessel, the year before the draft, was considered a franchise center comparable to Crosby.

If two players are comparable in terms of value, then you should go with positional needs. Otherwise you obviously go BPA.

The only reason i would kind of want a lock-out is that we would have the best chance at #1 overall, and if not, top 3

Some people just irk me

There's a sens fan in Ek's thread who is comparing Alfredsson to Sundin, saying Aflie is better because he's scored more points with a single team.

Poor Alfredsson...he'll forever be that Swede that isn't Mats Sundin, who played in that Ontario city that isn't Toronto.

I head Sundin got in the hall, and was all happy, then i started remembering who we had back then and who we had now, and then i started thinking about the cup run in 2002, and in 1994, and i got depressed.....

Great, now why don't you just recap the 1993 Conference Finals while you're at it and send me cartwheeling over the Bloor Viaduct?
