I'm really surprised by Timmins. I got the feeling Gainey Gauthier were tempering with his picks, and made him wear the donkey hat.

Galchenyuk and Collberg were probably Bergevin's choices in the end...especially Collberg. Said he watched him play last winter back when he was working for Chicago, and when he came back from Europe he said he told his team that they should draft Collberg if he was still available in the first round.

Timmins said in an interview that he could barely sleep after day 1 hoping that Collberg was there for them at 33, he wanted Collberg something fierce.

Timmins usually does well, maybe management pressured him to go in a different direction with some picks, but I like what he has done for the most part.

Mac and Barkov are the youngest, I think those two are miles ahead. I mean (frank). Barkov broke Crosby's record for youngest scorer at the WJC and MacKinnon had a good chance of making the tournie. Next year is still far away, but holy (frank) does it look like 2003.

A little random I know but I had season tickets to the mooseheads this year and they had a 20 year old captain some of you probably heard about during the Q playoffs Cameron Critchlow, he was never drafted somehow but got invited to the oilers development camp for a tryout, if that doesnt work out he would be a great player to develop in Hamilton!
