Does anyone think that Beaulieu will make the HABS roster this year? Darche leaving the Habs was not something I expected right now.
- Thehabsfan93

I hope not... I'd like to see these kids get some time playing together in the AHL for a while, get some additional experience.

We are in no rush for the next year or 2.

If he doesn't go into last season with Garon and Roloson they're a playoff team
- mr.peanut

Maybe, but he just signed washed up frenchies.

Not what I call improving the team.

It's not like he had room to sign a top 6 forward, and frenchies make such perfect 4th liners.

It's a way to see things... and I agree it would be nice to see our best prospects grow together in the AHL.

But if the guy is good enough to make the team already.... why not give him a chance.

I expect a guy like Tinordi, if he doesn't start with the team at the beginning of the season, to eventually get called up if there are injuries.

Yup, squeeze out a few more lottery picks and then draft well while you are at it.

Looking good at camp is one thing, translating it to the pros another.

If they look good enough to make the team in the preseason they will get 9 games to prove they belong.
In those 9 games though they have to play unreal, if they just play average they will get sent down in order to save a year on the ELC.

finish bottom 5 this year, trade lottery pick for a good left wing. Win next year.

I just don't want to see a promising kid play 6-8 minutes a game in limited situations.

I'd rather he be playing against bigger players in the AHL (compared to the CHL), playing all types of situations, getting use to the faster / tougher game.

Maybe that's just me, but I think we have tried to rush kids to the NHL too often over the last 5+ years and it has just not worked out.

The Habs are in no rush right now, or for the next couple of years.

So why risk it?

(frank) that...if the Habs have a lottery pick next year....they better use it to draft another top 6 guy. Great draft year in 2013

Actually, the Inuit are considered to be from Siberia, who crossed over when Asia and North America (Alaska) were connected... So, basically they're a mixed race of Russians, Mongolians, Chinese and Koreans.

Love to see how they do in a good draft, if this was considered a weak one.
