Talk about a team adding up pieces to a core of young players through UFAs. That means the Avs brass believe they're ready to compete.

Gomez, Desharnais, Plekanec, Eller, Nokelainen, White...

That's quite a few centers.

They also added Zanon and John Mitchell. Building some depth.

Montreal GM Marc Bergevin is supposedly a huge Kane fan and certainly, he and Bowman have talked about some things. A few weeks back, and also from a source I really don't know well, I heard (attributed, in fact, to another Eastern Conference GM) that Bergevin had offered Carey Price straight up for Kane.

JJ is spouting random crap again.

Dear Howard,

I played my first round of golf of the season yesterday and ended up +30, playing the par only twice. It was miserable.

Signed,

That's a lot of strokes Marty. If you look at it from a financial point of view, you certainly got your dollar/stroke value.

No doubt. To my defense, it was my first round with the new clubs and I didn't even get to try them before going there.

The hybrids are killing me. Can't wrap my head around the fact I NEED to hit them like irons, NOT like woods.

for 1 year, I don't mind.

It will allow them to leave Ellis, Tinordi and Beaulieu in Hamilton where they can develop properly
