I just heard the local pub patio call my name - may you all wake up with the hangover I likely will have tomorrow.

EDIT: Obviously that was not for Pete, as it was a given regardless!

Bottoms up, dude.

When I first moved to the city, the only place near where I lived was a No Frills and no real other source for fresh produce and meats. Maybe it was just that one palce that soured my experience, but if I happen to stop at a No Frills now to pick something up, I do not even bother looking at the "fresh" stuff.
- JDJ

This is true of most No Frills. But the truth is that if you want REAL fresh food stuff, as you've pointed out, then none of the "grocery" stores is where you should be shopping!

I only work on contract a few months of the year, maybe 6, and from home. Work is not that bad to find, but I did spend years making connections for that to happen.

People just starting out, or without the proper experience, can find it hard to work right now.

I'm 36 and have the proper experience. I have well over 6-7000 hours running heavy equipment...grader, hoe, skidsteer, packer, loader, you name it. Carpenter... built about 50 houses. Concrete, skilled labourer. Construction for over a decade. Tickets up the yin-yang, TDG, WHMIS, 1st aid, CSTS, H2S. I apply to 30 construction sites in TO a day and they say "Meh". Only reason I'm at my old poophole job in BRAM from ages ago is to pay the bills for the time being. Who's cock do you gotta suck around here to get a decent job?

You can try mine, but I guarantee, I am the only one getting the job out of that deal.

Later.

The Prust contract is a tad too much in regards to salary and term, but considering it's a FA signing, I'm ok with it. I think Burish could have been nice too (and cheaper), but Prust is a solid bottom 6 forward.

Bouillon and Armstrong are low risk one year signings.

Overall, good depth moves by the habs.

Now get me Jagr and/or Carle!

You could try and get a job in a mine in northern ontario. They give thsoe jobs away to guys who couldn't pass shop class in high school...guys with trades in the mines make easily 100k/yr.

Plus a 1million dollar home here is teh equivalent to a 4-5million dollar home in TO.

How much might be needed to be added to something around the lines of Gionta and Subban to Anaheim for Ryan and say maybe Lydman?

Gionta fills the top 6 forward space left by losing Ryan, they pick up Subban, and Lydman is tossed in as a salary dump on Anaheim's part. I'm sure something else needs to be added on Montreal's side.

One of those dumb armchair GM things, but if you could sign Jagr or Parise and one of Suter and Carle. This is obviously wishful thinking.

Say it was even the less likely of those 2 options in Jagr and Carle.

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Cole
Ryan-Plekanec-Jagr
Bourque-Eller-Armstrong
Moen-Nokelainen/White-Prust

Markov-Emelin
Carle-Gorges
Lydman-Bouillon

Budaj

Kaberle can hopefully be ditched, but if not, then there for depth with Diaz or Weber.

Nice to dream.

Habs are trying something new: moving the puck so fast any hit would be interference.

Maybe I'm totally off base, but it seems crazy to me to be making this type of move for the Habs. We have very little depth on the wing and the point, switching one problem for another doesn't really help us. The only thing we have to offer at this point is a second line center and even that is somewhat premature until Galchenyuk is a bit more "proven."

Burke is smart for free agency, he learned through his mistakes with armdog and komi and connolly and is not going to make another stupid signing for big money. He is 100% correct that most of these players are a load of crap for free agency and that the only thing he can possibly do is make an offer to guys like suter or a parise. Other then that i like the resignings of some of our players but the Mcclement i didnt really see the point of.. probably a good PK guy but would get 4th line minutes surely nothing special, though carlyle seemed to like this guy so maybe fits his system better.

unicef, you thought you make me go away from the thread, are you five? I just let you win the argument 'cause it is so important to you. My last words to end all this even if i will lose again is Toronto Maple Leafs will be paying Colby Armstrong 1 million dollars for 2 years to Score on them.
