Sent Eklund an Email, two pms and still no answer.

According to one league executive, the Canadiens are actively shopping the likes of right wing Rene Bourque and restricted free agent defenseman Raphael Diaz.

Bourque, who has a modified no-trade clause, was acquired mid-season by the Habs in a trade with Calgary that saw Michael Cammalleri return to the Flames.

It's unclear if a deal is imminent, though moving Bourque might simply be a salary dump as Bergevin aims to add a top-six forward to the roster.

One league source indicated that the Habs have received some interest in center Tomas Plekanec and right wing Brian Gionta, though a trade involving either player is not expected.

So we want to get rid of diaz and bourque but shockingly people would prefer gionta or plek?

why would anyone inquire about plek?

I know it's not the sexiest signature, but could see a guy like Hudler sign here.

He's an alright checker, but hopefully we wouldn't pay more than a million.

And I seriously can't wait to see what a 2nd year Emelin will look like on the ice, I'd like to see him get PP time, as he's got a pretty good slapper and an underrated vision.

Spread the puck dishers in Bourque and Leblanc.

Burish might be a decent option too... good face off percentage, has some grind/grit.

I would expect him to be way under $3M.

The team that trades for Nash will likely be weaker, as the production (G+A) and impact the players they send (ie: versatility, roles) will be greater than anything Nash has ever produced.

The guys is just too in jury prone, he could have some use, but I'd never sign him because history indicated he would spend more time on the trainer table than on the ice.
