They're all around us, my friend. All around us, swarming through the darkling storm.

Hope is what remains to be seen.

Keep in mind Kimmo may not be ready for the start of the season.
- ob18

All indications are that he should be. It was suppose to be a 7-10 week absence, and I believe he's doing well in his rehab.

Setbacks certainly possible though.

I know you're referring to his offensive skills, but per Bill, he doesn't sound much like Jake...

Jake is a great skater, and good defensively. And I think PA will be looking for a big raise, so if the choice is say, 2.75M for PA, or 3M for Jagr, I'd rather have Jagr by a long shot.

- BringBack25

ouch harsh words for PA

i guess bill has watched him a lot more closely than i have!

I agree, p a is like jake only in that he's more of an assist guy...not my kind of plyr.

It's been mentioned he may not be ready & they won't rush him that could put him out to start the year. Hopefully he all works out.

At this point Id rather keep Mez and Voracek over bringing in Ryan. If the kid really wants to come here, well he'll be here in 2 years. Bring back Carle, Jagr, Voracek, give it a go with the upgraded D core. And we should get a better year from Bryz.

- LeachHextall27

There was a tweet in Eks blog from a supposed hockey source. Basically saying the ball is in the Sabres court.

I'm ready to move on from Jagr. The young kids are going to get expanded roles this year and the Flyers could use that money elsewhere. I would like them to add a 4th line center who wins faceoffs and plays special teams.

NUKE (singing softly)
Oh she may get wooly, women do get
wooly, because of all the stress...

CRASH
I hate people who get the words wrong.
It ain't "woolly" it's "weary" and
it nobody's got stress, they're
wearing a dress.

NUKE
How come you don't like me?

No kidding.

And, of course, the first thing that pops into my head...

It's not woolly. Nobody gets woolly. Women get weary. They don't get woolly. Nobody gets "stress." They're wearing a "dress." I hate people that get the words wrong.

Mez and Vorecek>Ryan, but is it better than Ryan and a Dman you could sign for 3-3.5? I have no idea.

I was too, I just dont see much of anything out there in way of UFA. If Jagr comes back at or near the same price, the Flyers are def getting value for that. If gets injured, well we will see what the young kids can bring then.

McClement or Moore please. Prusty would be awesome too.

We need a couple of bruisers/grinders on the bottom 6. It's exactly what the doctor ordered.

Unless Parise signs here, I think Jagr will return.

Thats the move to make right now for this team. I dont want a 40 year old Jagr for $3M. Flyers have younger guys who are ready to take that next step.

I think that Dman would be in the 2-2.5 mil area to equal out if I'm catching your drift here. I suppose its possible, but remember what a beast Mez was paired up with O'Donnell on the 3rd pairing? Schenn will at the very least equal O'Donnell's ability if the Flyers give him orders to be positionally sound. I am liking the D core as it stands

I hope Jagr signs with Montreal. This way the Flyers dont even have to worry about him.

I honestly dont see anyway the Flyers can get this guy. They would have to make other moves to fit him in. Its just as bad a situation as trading for Ryan if your giving up Voracek and Mez.
