The Dallas Stars are open to trading Steve Ott, according to Pierre LeBrun. Ott's name also came up in trade rumors in the lead-up to the 2011-12 trade deadline. Before Staal was traded, Cooke was 1/3 of the best 3rd line in hockey. With those credentials, a modified NTC is warranted.

Yes I am, but I just realized I made two mistakes in my copy/paste from the Capgeek page. Sorry about that.

They still show Carle at 3,427,500, and I intended to change it to 4,750,000 in my calculation, but forgot. I also just noticed that I somehow got Coburn's cap hit wrong too. Guess I shouldn't have tried to do all this while I was on a conference call (but it was a REALLY boring call...).

So the correct number is fairly higher than what most other teams are paying. Still not sure that makes me want to move somebody simply to dump the salary, but it is a significant difference.
