None of them is close to Stamkos, Crosby, Malkin, or Ovechkin, no.
Hall and Yakupov need to play with their heads up more often, or they're going to get their tickets punched out of this league sooner than they'd like. - Feeling Glucky?
I'm sure Yakupov and Hall did absolutely nothing to warrant any type of comparison to Stamkos. |

You evidently follow samjam99, who is not credible. - Conquest
Not only samjam a couple other sources. Samjam has reported 2 correct trades invloveing the canucks before any other media outlet. Also said luongo deal would be done by draft which it was. But luongo didn't waive so he was right again. None the less i saw a couple other sources also say it |

I'm on his Twitter page now and see nothing indicating that; you're most than likely following a fake account, since he made no mention of Schultz whatsoever today - Conquest
That's a fake account, don't listen to it. I hope he signs with the Canucks but whatever, he's a rookie in a very difficult position (defense). He signs where ever he signs. |

Im still pretty mad that schenn is gone cause he was probably my fav player on the team, but JVR... i have no say on seems to be fitting in with the leafs and media but i have no say on him yet - Mapleleafs_91
always have loved jvr, this kids potential is unreal, and weve seen definite flashes of it he dominated in the 2011 playoffs hopefully he gets that what groove again. I hate it when they say he's a bandade the two seasons before he played 76 and 78 games respectively im excited hes a leaf |

Honestly we should stop with the speculation it gets no where. Both the leafs and canucks have made moves indicating they are pursuing him. Canucks going back on their word of qualifying a young PP qb. Also letting rome go? I just saw a couple different people tweet it even saw an article saying so. Just saying family usually sways decisions a lot in sports |

No other media outlet confirmed that any Lu deal was done; in fact, most said that there was only talk but nothing firm since Gillis's asking price was high, so that's irrelevant. He may have correctly guessed one or two (probably just spamming information he gets from real sources), but I'm pretty sure it was clear Schultz isn't due to say anything until Wednesday/Thursday |

No, you're right. All 4 of them are going to be better than Ovechkin, Crosby, Malkin, and Stamkos COMBINED.
They're all good players, very, very good, maybe even elite players... but they don't match the generational talent of those guys.
Now go back to jacking off to your Faksa rookie card.

He said both the booth and hodgson deal with every player invloved half an hour before reported by anyone else so that kind holds some sway don't ya think. Not saying he is a source but he might know someone in the organization |

Yup best of luck to whoever gets him. Its either his buddy or his family could go either way. We can agree defensivley both team are fine even without him |

yup. Not denying that he's an awesome player. Not seeing him being better than Crosby, OV, Malkin, or Stamkos, either.
Just because he was the shiny new 1st overall playing in the league, doesn't mean he's going to be the best player... which is what I'm responding to... an Oilers fan saying Nuge, Hall, Eberle, and Yakupov will be the top-4 forwards in the NHL. |

And sometimes, just sometimes, the top player in the draft isn't necessarily the top player in the draft. Hall/Seguin, for example.
Edmonton definitely has one of the top forward groups in the NHL, but that doesn't mean they're the top forwards in the leagues, as individuals. - Feeling Glucky?
You do know Seguin isn't a leaf right? So you don't have to over value him, there were so many actual examples, like Stefan and the Sedins, but you decided to go with an explain that was just simply not true. |

Clearly that is exactly what was said.
I'm not 100% sure, but I sense that you're angry about something.
I know what it is. You're disappointed that Hall, Nugent-Hopkins and Yakupov won't ever be close to top forwards. |

UG, the fact that we're even having this conversation shows that you don't even care about the actual players, you just want to argue. That's why you got banned, and that's why you'll get das boot again.
Or maybe you really agree with him that those 4 will be the best NHL forwards. In which case... well it explains why you'd take Faksa at 5th overall. |

Also the oilers don't have a young stud defenseman to put him with like the canucks and leafs.
Edler - Schultz or Gardiner - Schultz
Edler is a 25 year old just coming into his own with great offensive ability and defensive ability and a great skater and idn't afraid to hit. Gardiner is pretty much the same just a couple years young. Both gardiner and edler will be norris candidates 1 year. Both those pairing would be deadly for years. |

Yes. It is what he said:
Nope.. no anger. Players will be coming... when you are going to have arguably the top 4 forwards in the league in 3-5 years, who the hell wouldn't want to play here. Last I checked, it's not our team that has not won a cup in what... 46 years...
They're not the top-4 guys in the league. I didn't say they're not top forwards, not once... but they're not close to being THE top forwards.
Capiche?
edit: no, you probably don't understand, but I'm gonna go ahead and end the argument here, because whether you (miraculously) do understand, or (most likely) don't... you're still going to continue to argue on the wrong side, as usual. |
