Truthful actually.. you guys think you are the center of the universe.. but you have done jack crap for years. Why the hell play there.. that's my point. Vancouver mind you would be worse.

you think edmonton is a more attractive destination then vancouver? toronto? pheonix? moscow? lol, at least you can blame everything on a young roster right?

Nope.. no anger. Players will be coming... when you are going to have arguably the top 4 forwards in the league in 3-5 years, who the hell wouldn't want to play here. Last I checked, it's not our team that has not won a cup in what... 46 years...

Oh my... just sayin...

- Oilers4ever2012

Come on now

You could definitely argue one of the top groups of young forwards... but none would be the top forwards. Not even close.

Can someone explain to me how the NHL would determine the draft order if there is a lockout? I know we have the highest chance, but im not sure how they come to that
- cor99

Assuming they do it the same way they did it in 05.

Each team begins with 3 balls, with a ball being subtracted for every time the team made the playoffs or was awarded the first overall pick in the previous three years, to a minimum of 1 ball.

So yes, Toronto would be among a short list of teams with three balls.

yea cause its been the same owner for 46 years ... is there any real oiler fans in here who dont need to trash the leafs in order to feel good about themselves and their team?
- P-Nut

Awww.. its all in good fun... Truthfully I'd love to have the defense you guys have right now (minus Komisarek).. but its why I think Justin won't go there because I just think the Leafs don't have top 4 minutes available with the players they have.. unless they are thinking of trading Franson to Edmonton for some type of return.. even then.. I think I would rather have Schultz... you guys are coming along, but still need some more pieces.. maybe in 3 years we could have an Edmonton/Toronto SCF... wouldn't that piss the Americans off.

Comparing Gagner to Bozak is like apples and oranges. Bozak is in reality, a 3rd line center that backchecks. Gagner SHOULD be a 2nd liner but is too inconsistent.

Schultz can start negotiating Wednesday, becomes FA on July 1.

Trading Gunnarsson would be a big mistake. He's the Leafs best shut down dman and plays top minutes. Really hard to replace. I like Franson but he'd be the odd man out to make room for Shultz.

- modernhipster

hmmmm pretty sure TSN said Schultz was available for negotiation sunday night at midnight. He can't sign until July 1st however.

Phaneuf-Gunnarsson
Liles-Franson
Gardiner-Schultz
Komisarek

we know Burke will rock 7 D no problem. I think Carlyle really liked Franson too, he started getting a lot of minutes towards the end.

I don't understand how Holzer wasn't qualified. I wonder as well in the Luongo deal if we are taking back Ballard. I mean realistically Komisarek is not even close to an option for VAN with Ballard already there soaking up 4.2mil for the next 3 seasons.

Is Stewarts and Schultz' jersey being fitted now? I think Stew should wear 28 and Schultz 15.

I would think they would make it longer then the last three years though, just cause of the fact that we have had the last three firsts

It's tough to do this on my iPhone while laying in bed, but generally no half the things most of you said aren't worth reading. No offense to the gentlemen I'm talking about the lotto draft with, you seem intelligent so far :p
