Do you honestly think Gagner and Bozak's trade value is the same?
Personally I think Gagner has more upside and with the big 4 in Edmonton, I have a feeling that Gagner might get misused and eventually pissed off with playing second fiddle. Liles would provide some vet leadership and help on Edmonton's PP. It might help signing Schultz.
You tell me, Gagner/Schultz or Bozak/Liles? - As_I_See_It
Not this again. |

Burke is the most stubborn man, and considering he drafted him, I'd imagine he'll try hard for him.
He won't get minutes on the Rangers or in Vancouver, so you can scratch those 2 off the list.
Edmonton can be considered a serious destination... But who really willingly signs a contract to play in Edmonton? - ejeezy
I think Detroit is probably in the lead for him.
Edmonton theres going to be alot of salary competition with all the lotto boys on the team.
And if playing with players he knows is a big thing. Then I guess cgy still has as good as a shot as Toronto. Cripes playing time won't be an issue there |

Hemsky could easily lead the team in points.
Horcoff is overpaid but usefull.
Smyth is a gready pile of excrement. - robin_steele264
That speaks volume as to why your team as finished 30th overall for the past three seasons. |

I thought I read he wants to play on a Canadian team, and if he truly is demanding top 4 minutes like some of the rumours are suggesting... we can cross Detroit off the list too
Calgary would make sense also |

Listen... i know your big on hemsky for some odd reason but you have hall, eberle, nuge, gagne, and now yakopov leading your team. You do NOT NEED hemsky. Smyth is a leader on your team even if he is greedy with money, he is a leader and a captain on your team, not horcoff or hemsky. This is why i would choose smyth before hemsky or horcoff. |

The only way he could be an even bigger genius than an absolute genius is if he put up the Leafs depth chart on defense with Schultz on the 1st pairing with Phaneuf. - Lingual_Hooey
sure whatever floats your boat as long as he signs with toronto |

Sure the Oilers have plenty of young talent. Unfortunatly, that hasn't lead to any on ice results. |

+ bonus... That can amount to a boatload of money. See: B. Schenn. He was sent to the minors last year so Philly would avoid having to pay performance based bonus. - thomas81
well the Leafs can give whatever bonuses they want, they have enough $$ |

Id trade him if the return was worth it. Right now it's not.
And he does have the talent to lead this teams offense still. If hes healthy, people quickly forget just how good he is.
