New topic: If I had to hazzard an educated guess on who the Leafs next #1 centre would be, I'd go with Stastny. Yes, he's got a big contract but he's Burke's type of player and with Duchesne signing a new deal, he's the odd man out.
Personally, I like his game and think he'd be a good fit for the #1 spot. I think Mac Arhur or Bozak and a 1st round pick would be more than enough to land him.
Realistically, Getzlaf will stay in ANA with Ryan demanding a trade and Parise will go to an American market (Det, Min, NYR) or sign in NJ.
Thoughts? Any other big potentially #1 centers available you think could be pried away by the Leafs? |

Sorry, should have been more specific or broke up the sentences.
Basically saying, any #1 centres out there Leafs could pry from another team?
And...not likely any of the big free agents/rumored trade bait heading to Toronto....Parise, Getzlaf, Ryan, Suter, Weber, etc. |
