Snow was only going to do the trade under the condition that YAKUPOV was AVAILABLE AT #2. Which, if you watched the draft, he wasn't...thus, no trade.

Would you trade the #4 and #34 pick along with 5 project prospects out of which maybe 1 will make it to the NHL as a lower tier player for Yakupov?? ...I would.

He's a gauranteed talent and future star who would play this year and many years to come on the wing with Tavares. Trading a bunch of crapshoots for a future star is worth it.
