what could be HUGE about a UFA rumor? We all know the players... Parise, Suter, Schultz I guess... so the HUGE news is what? Pit gonna try to sign them both? Detroit? Parise will test FA waters? None of this is HUGE... Ek loves the Flyers so maybe they want to sign all three... Wow. Will sit on pins and needles until Sunday at noon.

Theyre no shoe ins...i promise you Sundin isnt anyways...Sakic and Shanny yes...but youre only reading the first year eligible players...the list of eligible players is much much longer with alot of deserving players.

Just heard a rumor Calgary is really going to suck this year....they are going to trade kipper to toronto, boweaster to minnesota, iginla to Pittsburgh. This will in turn reward first overall selecting Nathan mackinnon.

Rumor is that the "offer" Snow supposedly made to CBJ was contingent on Edmonton taking Murray and Nail falling to #2. Still, I think trading away an entire draft for one player is way too much, even for the top overall player unless that player is a generational player (like a healthy Sidney Crosby or Malkin or of that ilk).

As an Isles' fan, I'm pretty happy with the way draft weekend turned out for the team. Reinhart looks like a great selection and the Visnovsky trade will work out nicely. I have no complaints about any of the selections.
