I guess that's possible, but I can see it more from Wilson's side than his. If he's honest with himself he didn't deserve to be on the ice.

Tootoo turned down $2.5M per for 3 years. He clearly overvalues himself. I guess that's what the Preds get for standing by him through thick and thin.

Let's see if another team is willing to overpay for his services. I'd be surprised given his substance abuse history, lack of production down the stretch, and being benched for the playoffs. Then again, there's always #HowsonDeals

I had to circle back around on this. Just because we're not hearing anything doesn't mean Poile won't make inquiries. He knows that if he lands Parise that he, in all likelyhood, lands Suter AND Weber.

I know money is not an issue. If the Pens can afford Crosby, Malkin, Parise, Suter, LeTang and Fleury then the Preds can afford Weber, Suter, Parise and Rinne.

I just want to see how this all plays out.

Yep the Preds have tons of cap space. If the owners posturing about being able to spend to the cap is true, I see no reason why Poile doesn't push hard for Parise. Like you said, if he gets him he gets Suter and Weber.

This is going to be such a watershed moment for the organization. If Suter walks, in my opinion Weber does the same next year. I have this weird mix of excitement and dread building as 7/1 approaches.
