Anything but him not being happy about the Isles picking him of course. The obvious is never really obvious, is it?
- Cptmjl

Its just kinda old that every move by the isles is negative?its kinda old that so called fans rip their team on message boards every day? Wow i mean I feel sorry for those who have a favorite team but never have optimism. What if Reinhardt had explosive rhea and was grimacing to hold it in? What if he got the clap the night before the draft banging Pitt hookers? Just saying that the obvious is not always so and to sought off on how brass is clueless all the time or a draft pick is pissed is opinion.

Not so sure its called opinion when you have visual proof? He may have had the shats, I'll give you that. As far as fans ripping this team... So far Wang and Snow have done little not to get ripped about. Other than drafting( and its debateable how good a job he has done so far)Snow has done little at all to warrant the respect of the fan base. Wang, well we can just leave that one alone. No reason to state the obvious. Snow has an opportunity here. He's got "all of these prospects" that are just fantastic and ready to take on the NHL or so some were lead to believe. He has payroll that has to be met. I'm interested to see what he does with this opportunity.

Agreed. Ryan is a nice player no doubt, a perrenial 30 goal scorer, but I wouldn't give up the farm either. He's hit 70 points once in his career and is coming off a 57 point season. By contrast, PA had 67 points in 2 fewer games last year. I know it's not all about numbers, but I would start selling off Strome, DeHaan, Nelson, and first round picks for him.
- Charlie21

I thought comparing Moulson and Ryan was bad, but comparing PA and Ryan might be worse, and it has nothing to do with each player's abilities. They bring such entirely different skill sets that comparing them is about as pointless as comparing Lucic and St. Louis: if you're looking for one type of player, the other isn't really even on your mind. I'm glad you added the "it's not all about the numbers" part afterward, because that sums up what would have been my very long post.

Flames let Comeau become UFA, where are all the whiners who blasted snow for putting him on waivers, because he had so much value??

Your a professional draft pick expression watcher? So what if he was stunned or upset he is now isles property. Not much he can do about it. Sure he will be smiling when he gets paid with his entry level contract. The logic that posters know info that is basically known by a few people is ridiculous. Its like the people who think Wang was walking around the draft offering picks to the rest of the NHL or that snow who in his entire tenure has held onto all his picks would now turn around and give all of them up for one. Please

Interesting take on the "all picks for Murray" dust-up:

Islanders' all-in trade offer to Jackets makes sense
http://www.cbc.ca/sports/...ts-draft-picks-trade.html

Edit: By the way, maybe our resident draft expressionary engineer can tell us what Murray's thinking in that picture in the story

Very interesting. If that does not tell you the draft is a crap shot nothing will. All the more reason for Wang and Snow to not use the draft alone.

Peter Mueller now a UFA. Could be a nicer cheaper replacement for PA. 6'2 204 LOTS OF TALENT could put up good # s on JTs wing.

Has has multiple injury/concussion issues, that is going to raise red flags. That's the reason Colorado let him walk.

if you think about it. every player snow has parted with has amounted to nothing. Bergenheim might be only one but i think he needed a change in scenery to show his potential.

But think about it. All the guys Snow gave for Smyth were busts and not even in NHL. Campoli, Comeau, Comrie, Hilbert, Parish, Witt. All are either down or useless.

Btw, ever site i see on winners losers in draft this year have ISLES as winners. Reinhart should become great 1,2 guy in few years and the Viznosky trade was an excellent addition. this guy was #1 of all dman 2 years ago.

The Bruins skill vs our lack of.. had nothing to do with it?

Yes it does of course but we get completely pushed around and even if our skill was even, the size difference would still be a gigantic factor

I'd give him a shot for the right price. He has the skill, and we're not exactly running dry on cap space.

The Islanders have tendered qualifying offers to Sean Backman, Justin DiBenedetto, Mark Katic, Mikko Koskinen, Tomas Marcinko, Matt Martin, Rhett Rakhshani & Ty Wishart.

No Surprises here.... after the draft we just had.. If Ty doesnt get his chit together... this could be his last contract with us.
