good draft guys, who cares about the rumor of trying to trade your whole draft for Murray. If anything it should show Garth will do anything for this team that's in his control. Next up July 1st Who do you guys want? - hawks101010
Ryan in a trade, Prust as a UFA and a good defenseman... |

Really doubt Snow will trade our 1st rounder next year. He gave up the 2nd rounder for Visnovsky and I don't see him going without a 1 and a 2. - PeteM
He probably could trade Streit or Visnovski at the trade deadline and get the #2 back... |

I don't think they will ever get Ryan....But if I was Snow I'd offer 2013 first ( one of the best drafts classes in years) DeHann, and one of (Bailey, Okposo and Grabner) .
DeHann (a very good D prospect that can take Schulez's spot)
1st round pick (great draft class)
and then one of
Okposo (up and down player but can easily be a 25-30 goal scorer)
Grabner ( speed, and gets allot of chances)
Bailey (younger of the three and has upside) - hawks101010
According to Bob McKenzie the Ducks want young talent for Ryan. I'm thinking a 2013 #1, Strome and deHaan... |

So he's already planning to be a seller at the deadline? Don't we need to get off that train? |

No, you're wrong. Been in the rink with him after practice in shorts & t-shirt.
Maybe all you've seen was from the knees down, IDK? KO would not look outta place in the weight room with an NFL team. That being said, a power-lifters body is not ideal for playing hockey. I agree, I wish he had a bit more of a mean streak. But tell me who has ever really challenged him in a game? I've seen him try a few times to go after someone(other player wanted nothing to do with him) but he was never known for being a fighter, so what's the point? He also had MAJOR shoulder surgery. Even with the best rehab, that injury takes a long time to fully heal back to normal. I'd say KO & Streit BOTH look better this year, a full year removed from surgery and no re-injuries of the same joint. He could learn to try and go through Dmen/inside and crash on the net more often. He's predictable and isn't trying to snipe on college-level goalies anymore, this is the big show....learn a few new tricks. - jmo16
No, I'm not. He is not built like a line backer. I've seen the kid before too.
Edit; You didn't say the line backer comment Kindlyrick did. He still is not built like an NFL player none the less. |

I'm not an optimist when it comes to this team as we all know especially when discussing this coming season but we are already planning on dumping these guys at the trade deadline to get our second back? |

That's 3 first rounders for one guy who wants to play in Philly. No thanks. |

or Nelson instead of Strome...but don't you think it's going to take probably something like I said...and other teams like Philly. Rangers and Pittsburgh will not have a problem doing it... |

I\m still not sold that Ducks will demand all that much..I know I'm the minority but they must think less of him and his game to even want to move him????I'm sure if teams wanna overpay they will take it but I see whoever ends up getting him doing it for a lot less than everyone predicts. |

I'm not selling the farm for him either. But now that Snow is offering up entire drafts for one player, who knows... |

He's publicly said he would like to be traded, you can't keep a player who is on the record as being unhappy on your roster. It just doesn't work. |

Interesting tweet...maybe that's why Snow was looking stressed out on Friday...or is Wang trying to be like Jimmy Jones of the Cowboys...
James Mirtle @mirtle
@ChrisBottaNHL Wang was out there talking to GMs on the draft floor...

Agreed. Ryan is a nice player no doubt, a perrenial 30 goal scorer, but I wouldn't give up the farm either. He's hit 70 points once in his career and is coming off a 57 point season. By contrast, PA had 67 points in 2 fewer games last year. I know it's not all about numbers, but I would start selling off Strome, DeHaan, Nelson, and first round picks for him. |

Watch an old post game interview on ITV or video from a golf outing - lord knows they have a few a year - He's not a skinny kid with stilts for legs by any means, as you say. He DOES need to use his size more to his advantage. I remember he got a roughing call in a game last year for shrugging another player off his back behind the net - he made contact to the players' shoulder/chin(because the guy was chasing him) but knocked the guy on his ass like a rag doll. |

Botta suggested it was Charles who offered the whole draft to Columbus for their #2, NOT GARTH. |

He certainly isn't built like any NFL player I've seen. Maybe a quarter back. I've seen him before. He's not tiny but he certainly isn't big. He put on some weight last season, hopefully he continues too because he looks weak on his skates and gets bounced pretty easy. |

I don't really care about the trade offer, just making a joke really. I don't think it was the worst thing ever. |

This won't get it done, but I'd offer next year's #1, Nino and a mid-level prospect for Ryan. If Anaheim says "no", fine. I'll be just as happy keeping the #1 pick and hope that Nino becomes something. I don't like the idea of moving three big pieces of a rebuild on a team with various holes for one guy who likely isn't yearning to come to Long Island. |
