Lets be serious here. Wang Snow could offer Justin Schultz a kings ransom, a generous stake of real state in China and a lifetime supply of Peking Duck and he still wont sign on Long Island.

Problem is every team is going to offer a 2 year ELC with maxed out monetary terms. It will come down to what city he wants to play in the most.

He's on record saying he wants to go to a team where he can step in and get playing time right away. He's not going to go to a team like the Rangers where he's going to be 7 or 8 on their depth chart. Teams that he may be able to crack the defensive lineup on, may be a little more strapped for cap space than we are. If we can outbid those teams, we undoubtedly have the room on the roster to offer him a full-time spot right off the bat. If he pans out he makes Streit expendable next year, which could land us another first rounder.

It's a great point, because crushing under-developed 16 and 17 year old's is one thing when you're 5'11''. Trying to go and put a guy like Lucic or Hartnell on the trolley tracks when you're that size is a whole different story.

I didn't say he was a bad player or would be a bad NHL'er, he has great offensive tools to go along with a good physical game. He also takes himself out of the play a lot to step up and make those big hits. I'd love him on the Isles, but there are a slew of guys that I personally valued more than him in this draft.
