I don't understand why some of you take such pot shots at each other. It's called the Internet and people are allowed to their own opinions whether or not YOU like them or not.
We're all supporting the same team in these comment threads. I rarely see any of the other teams fans take shots at EACH OTHER the way I see it in here sometimes. It's kinda disheartening, if you ask me. - potvin05
i'm sorry when we start breaking down the facial expressions of a draft pick we have reached the point of madness |

you have the right COMPLAIN about everything and I have the right to find it annoying and question why you like this team if your so down on them about EVERYTHING..i just don't understand how everything this team does gets ripped apart...its just a hockey team at the end of the day..thats all it is - NYI78
Don't really think I ripped anything apart in that post? Me saying the kid looked unhappy about being picked upset you. Some of the biggest Kool Aide drinkers on here agreed. You decided to tell me to stop liking the team? If Wang and Snow couldn't stop me from liking this team you don't have a shot in hell. |

I'm not pointing at any one example. This has been going on for ages. I already haven't read a blog in 2 and a half years....I don't like coming in these threads, when all I got is comments, and there's pages and pages of fellow Islander fans ripping each other apart. Disagreeing with each other is fine, but the way some people do it on this site, is childish at best, downright idiotic at worse.
I might not get along with every Islanders poster here, I don't, but I'm not going to resort to name calling or dissing. Not my style.

thats actually spot on and too funny!! i'm not upset i just think the notion that a kid would be upset going to the isles blows my mind..also from his tweets it seems like he likes long island...i just think that if he is actually upset about it a nhl paycheck will fix that |

I think you said it best...that when he gets his first nhl paycheck he'll be happy...LI isn't a bad place to live when you have cash in the bank...ask Tavares...I travel all over the country and Pittsburgh and Detroit in the city limits aren't great places to live but if you have money there some nice spots outside the city I'm sure... |

That's not what I posted. I said the guy looked unhappy which he did. Go back and watch when he got picked. Someone else posted the facial expression thing |

I hear you, me too. I wasn't even saying that really. Just saying he looked it. He really did when he got picked. I was like, oh shat . When they didn't interview him I was a bit concerned. |

No it's not. I have lived out of state a few times and I always come back here. I won't leave here again. I learned my lesson. You just can't get what LI has to offer between the beaches, fishing, night life, and the worlds greatest city a short train/car ride away. Of course the problem is the cost as we all know. |

All I care is that we had a good draft. I know that we wonder why Snow would sacrifice his entire draft picks so he can get Murray. Maybe we realize that there is nothing exciting about the draft this year but it didn't happen. We got Reinhart and it is possible he would be better than Murray. Only time will tell. We got Visnyosky that will stay if there is no strike. I get the feeling that we would sign two free agents on july first. |

I was high on Murray. That's who i wanted us to pick. With that said if Reinhart turns out to be a physical Dman with some offensive upside I believe we may have gotten the better player out of the draft? The kid is huge and may have a higher ceiling? No pun intended. |

For all you Isles fans out there... Mr. Chuck Wang is in Toronto today.
He will be in the studio @ 1050 TSN radio today @ 11:30am.
They are going to ask him about the potential trade offer.
So we can get the details from him.

He looked pretty happy to me when I watched the replay.
Plus he said he was starstruck when Tavares called him to welcome him to the team.
Tavares and Hamonic both called him. Both are the future leaders of this team.
Don't forget to tune into TSN 1050 radio today... this will give us some more thing to argue over.... |

I thought comparing Moulson and Ryan was bad, but comparing PA and Ryan might be worse, and it has nothing to do with each player's abilities. They bring such entirely different skill sets that comparing them is about as pointless as comparing Lucic and St. Louis: if you're looking for one type of player, the other isn't really even on your mind. I'm glad you added the "it's not all about the numbers" part afterward, because that sums up what would have been my very long post. - UIF
That was kinda my point. At some level comparisons could be drawn, but I don't think Ryan is worth what some people would be willing to give up. People are willing to let someone walk who actually produced more points than a player they'd be willing to mortgage the entire future on. Again, I understand they are entirely different players....I've been watching the game for over 30 years, but he's not worth giving up as much as what some people are proposing. |

Interviews with Wang infuriate me. I can't listen to how it's fun to watch the kids develop anymore. After watching his last one with Howie I decided not to watch/listen to them anymore just like reading Dee's blogs. |

Do you guys believe what Portzline reported, that Snow offered all his picks for Columbus' 2nd overall?
Who do you guys think Snow wanted, Murray or Yakupov? |
