Hopefully he turns down Jessica Welch when she eventually crosses his path. She collects hockey players like I used to collect hockey cards. |

Harrington? - mochoson
haha i like harrington, and if he pans out i think he can be a nice defensive player. although i dont think he will be mistaken for pronger anytime soon haha. the pens do have a nice stable of young defensive prospects. however, id still like to see some of them swapped for an impact player |

Lots was made about Teravainen this year. Shades of McNeill in last years draft. Seems to be some darkhorse guy that everyone jizzes about every draft.

Yeah...TSN compared him to Nuge. I like to think Nuge is a special case, but there is always comparisons. |

She also sucks away their souls. Penner was night and day when he divorced her, and he was playing with a wrist that needed surgery. He stays away from her for a full season and he'll probably be a 30 goal guy again. |

yea he has the potential to be ridiculous.. he has great hands! and Oiler fans know what great hands can do for the team.. even if lacking in size, just look at eberle and another comparison would be skinner! but he will definitely need a bit more time to make that impact |

There are some great options available for the Oilers today. The kids need to start to win. If not the discouragement starts to set in, play falls off and the ability to attract or deal for top player assets is diminished.
The Oilers need a puck moving Dman who will log 25 minutes a game. To get that player you need to offer up something more than any other team is offering for the same asset. You need to look at Holmgren in Philadelphia and see how he sends good value back for the return he wants. Getting tired of the recycled ideas about trading Gagner, Hemsky, et. al., when the market has said there is no interest.
You need to think you are competing against Holmgren for the asset, which you are, because the also needs a #1 puck moving Dman (Yendle, J.Bo, Boyle). Some of you need to get more creative and think of an offer process in reverse. For example, if one of the big four is traded it appears that Hall might have to be the one. If you trade Hall what is the return you need back? Is Yendle enough? |

Hall just played his 2nd year. We're not talking about an established team thats one dman away from a title.
Rather wait and suffer than deal our Core of 4.
We're building around them, not through them. |

But, they run the risk of learning how to lose. In horse racing you never want your thoroughbreds to lose. After awhile they come to think of it as okay and it kills their primitive drive to run ahead of the pack. It is not much different for great young players. These kids have won at every level. At some point in time, perhaps now, you need to be better than a lottery team again or you run the risk of turning into the New York Islanders at midnight.
Note: the Islanders got Visnoskey and that will be very helpful for them.

I'd be willing to pull a kessel type deal now for a real stud on D. I think they have reached that point.

Personally I think that is just a start on one.
2013, 2014 1st round picks plus a player plus a prospect. |
