Yeah, if either can be had for a cheap 1 or 2 year contract it would be worth a shot. I'm not sure there is room for both though.

I would consider one of them...much more likely Latendresse. I wouldn't put Hemsky on 3rd line role. It seems like EDM is jammed up on the top 6, some may end up playing on the 3rd line which is not ideal.

I don't think 5 minutes less a game is going to make a big difference. If his shoulders are healed they are healed, if not it is going to be another long year for him. I think his skill would be wasted playing third line with Horcoff on a shutdown role. Put him where he is comfortable with two of the kids and see what he can do, build up his value and confidence.

Hemsky is a top 6 player, he doesn't have the size or defensive ability to be a third liner. And like I said before if he's healthy and playing with talent he will put up points.

so does mueller. Latendresse and mueller are all well and good for September, but by October we'd have Smyth/Pajaarvi and Jones in their spots anyway.
