Vanek will not be traded. Is Paranteau at all physical? Why not trade Roy for Steve Ott? That would bring a legit 4th line center and some much needed pugnacity on this team. It may be expensive for a 4th but he wins face offs, hits like Goose used too and scares other teams he cab also go on the 3rd line and protect Grigo. Seems like good deal. As for Doan he may not leave Phoenix but if ownership fails he is gone. No reason not to make a phone call

Unfortunately from people who know him when he was traded he was told he would be resigned after July 1st whether that is till true I do not know. I would prefer to move on

Why did a team that builds hockey rinks in California, clear cap space and is now looking to trade Ryan? who do they think they are going to get Parise? Sutter? maybe Nash who has played well with Perry and Getzlaf before.

That's why they're not going to resign Goose. Because the pay is not on par with what he provides. Period. It would be a severe overpayment.
