i just dont know what to make of gerbe
put him on the 3rd line and hes like...idk...not good enough?
put him on the 4th line and hes not big enough
I hate it though because i absolutely love him as a player and he works his a$$ off - HAMgerber
He works hard. Unlike half the players on the team. I like what he brings and he manages to get guys chasing him around. He can create penalties and isn't afraid to push back even though he's the smallest guy in the league. He'd produce plenty if he was given better players to play with instead of the likes of Paul Gaustad and Pat Kaleta.

I still think a guy like parenteau would be a nice addition to one of our scoring lines... We can jope and dream about getting all the big fish in the sea we want but it is slim..
That will be our group.. if we get a free agent it will be in gerbes place...

agreed. kaleta sucks and gets injured constantly when he's not sucking. we need to trade him to columbus.

Parenteau is a talented player.
I have been to Nassau to watch the Sabres-Islanders games, and he could be a nice addition to the Sabres, just in case if we couldn't get the big fish!

To Buffalo: Ryan, Lydman and a 2nd round pick in 2014
Anaheim may want Pysyk as well or Roy instead of the defensemen
This clears some more cap space for Buffalo to go in hard on Parise and or Sutter....Buffalo would bury Lydman or trade another defenseman.
If Suter does not happen, Matt Carle might be a target;
If Parise does not happen, semin is not likely to be a target....but do not be surpsrised if Jokinen (and his new found work ethic is).....Roy would stay and be moved to the wing (If Jokinen comes, Parise does not, Ryan comes and Vanek leaves)
Chicago wants Sutter badly, but needs to clear cap space. They like Roy, but would want Buffalo to eat a contract and give up a draft pick for Boland and Halgmarsson/Montador...Buffalo does not give up draft picks fort players unless they get them back (under Reiger)

I honestly don't have a problem with Kaleta, I just think people shouldn't expect Gerbe to put up a ton of points when that's who he's playing with on a nightly basis. You need guys like Kaleta though. He's good a drawing penalties, is good at killing them and he's willing to drop the gloves if he has to.

That would make 0 sense for anaheim.. they r taking salary plus giving up maybe their best dman in +/-.. we would have to kick in picks..
