Buffalo fans have to be happy with this draft. They appeared to ruin their draft ranking by surging at the end of the season, just to have the guy a lot of fans here wanted drop all the way to them. If he puts the effort into his game, Grigs is going to be the steal of the draft.

The Dallas Stars are open to trading Steve Ott, according to Pierre LeBrun.
Ott's name also came up in trade rumors in the lead-up to the 2011-12 trade deadline. LeBrun specified that the Stars are still content to keep him if no one meets their asking price. Ott had 39 points and 156 penalty minutes in 74 games last season.

Now that Dallas has traded Ribeiro.. they are EXTREMELY thin up the middle.. they have Ott, Fiddler, and a few really young pups...

If I was Darcy.. I'd be on the phone with them right now about the likes of Roy, Hodgson, or Ennis bringing back Ott and Morrow or Eriksson in a big big trade.

Dallas has a GRIMEY 30M in cap space.

Vanek, Roy, Adam, and a 1st

for

Eriksson, Ott, and a 3rd.

They get a top line center plus a possible 2/3rd line center in Adam depending on where Viddler fits for them.. They have a pretty solid pay roll for Defense so we don't really need to give them more.. Vanek has slightly lower production than Eriksson does.

Ott would fit nicely on our 3rd line center and Hodge/Ennis would be our 1C/2C.
