Rumor has it that Chris Stewart is still alive in trade talk.. this time connected to Toronto and involving multiple players and contracts...
If true.. they could be angling for Halak or Elliot from STL in addition to Stewart.
would be smart.. - JVince11
I still want Stewart
No idea what we have that StL would want...
But I'd love to see it done |

I want Perron on my team before Stewart. Will be interesting to see what the Blues do with him, Stewart and Oshie. Got to believe one of them is gone. |

Am I the only one who would prefer not having Kaleta in the lineup? We are throwing some player with talent on a line with him, and wasting that talent. Go get someone who can check AND score.. All Kaleta is good for is checking, drawing penalties, and PK. |

If Semin will learn to play defense, all for it.
Parenteau is actually very good.. One of the leading point scorers very quietly last season, and led the league in assists for quite some time.
Schultz.. Ehh.. Against it.
Hudler.. ahh.. I don't know. Don't really like it, unless he replaces Kaleta. |

I could live with him and without him really. At times he's good to have but a lot of the times not so much.
I'll give him credit that he gives a damn and will lay his body on the line to win, unlike a few players around here... |

Perron is a top 30-50 talent if you ask me.. Just does it very quietly.
One of those players you never hear about, is very quiet, and just straight does work when out there. |

Semin - please baby korean jesus no.
Parenteau - love for the 3rd line but word is he wants 4+M per year so no
Schultz - don't know enough about but everyone loves him it seems
Hudler - is no better than Ennis and worse than Roy.. so not worth it. |

Play defense for Semin is all you want? He hardly shows up to even play half the time...forget it |

I give you that one.. I just feel like we can throw someone out there who will do the same, but can actually put the puck in the back of the net more than 5 times a season. This is why I didn't get as frustrated with Leino as most did.. Majority of the season, he was on a line with Kaleta.. Not exactly easy to produce with him on your line.
Sabres are just stacked with depth, and top talent in draft picks and in the AHL.. Just feel like with Kaleta gone, we would have 4 scoring lines, not just 3 with 1 iffy line. |

Ovechkin doesn't play defense at all, and people would take him still.. Not the best comparison, but if he learns to play complete all-around hockey, he's a top 10-15 talent.. Offensively and on his game, he's a superstar. |

And that is good enough to be a player in the NHL, if you can do three things well that's usually plenty. |

I think he's a perfect 4th lin player. The problem is when people get hurt and they move him up then fans expect more from him than what he is. |

I am sure we could find someone who can play PK, PP, check, and score goals that is much better than Kaleta.. For example - Bobby Ryan |

PA is a great playmaker who can can also score.. Granted he was on great lines on the Isles, but he's a great playmaker who doesn't ever get much credit. |
