That was funny. Why would someone report that? Geez
- Cptmjl

amazing.. they troll our blog... and then get offended when I respond. I mean I would be reporting myself if I typed that in a Buffalo blog.. but I don't go into other teams blogs and troll. I usually don't go in period..

So realistically what are some names you guys/girls can see Garth making pitches too July 1...or in NYI land July 6th...lol
- Nolanders

Garth is going to try and make a splash... I think he will aim high and adjust... we have tons of cash we HAVE to spend to reach cap floor. why not offer Suter the world.. then work your way down the list.. Wideman, Carle, Kubina, Spacek, kuba, Rosival...We will end up with someone that is for sht sure. my guess is we get a "who?" or a big trade for a bigger name.

I read it 3 times after he said it was reported, just to try & find something offensive, maybe it was just a mistake.

I guess the "idiots" or the shot at Buffalo... but I don't get it either.

Anyone else find it amazing the the Rangers passed on Stefan Mattau... and the Devs took him with the next pick. This will be a Parise all over again.. Isles passed and Devs pounced.

Nothing wrong with it. Did the same thing . Well written and to the point with out being offensive. Definitely couldn't have written it like that myself!

Wow....Italy won on penalty kicks.....that's not something you see EVERY TIME Italy plays an international match, or anything.

Whatever. A wins a win, if it's not the US that's my next choice. If the Isles sneak into the playoffs by a couple loser points I'll feel the same way

I love how the Devils brass copied what Rangers brass said word for word (the whole US development thing) when they picked him. A big middle finger to the Rags for sure.

The hockey rumors & trades! page on facebook says Islanders GM Garth Snow confirms they will not sign PA Parenteau. These guys are usually very accurate with their reports, and don't post stuff just for the sake of getting hits. So since parenteau is all but gone, how long before snow comes out and says we are a playoff team even though our offense is now just Tavares and Moulson.

I am very very afraid that Snow plans on keeping Nino up again this season. The kid needs to go to the AHL.

Doubt this. It's a bit premature. I don't think we will sign him though. His point production is going to have to be replaced. Snow can't hope one of these kids is going to take the reigns.

I love all the idiots... The reason these free agents did not sign here was 2 fold. One.. front end loaded contracts. if you want to give Erhoff 15 million upfront go right ahead. The Islanders in their current arena situation can not do that at this point.
2. The arena situation...political mess. It is almost over b/c their lease is almost done.

Those 2 points aside every and I mean EVERY hockey player that has played for the islanders wants to stay. Go right down the list.

Nabby.. did not want to come.. just re-upped
Guerin .. loved it here was upset when traded
Weight.. still here
JT- he supposedly hated it here and NEVER would sign a long term deal.. just did..

The point being.. that it is a Great place to live and no one wants to leave. It is only idiots and Trolls who have no clue that talk about how awful it is playing for the Islanders. Find me one player who was happy when he left.. 1.
I am guessing most people would prefer living on Long Island to friggin Buffalo.. just a guess.

That was the first thing that came to mind. You are gonna depend on a guy like niederreiter who scored just 1 goal last year replace parenteau's 67 points? You are out of your (frank)ing mind. They don't bring in a top 6 forward to fill parent eau's spot then they are headed for the draft lottery again. Cause Tavares and Moulson are your best players, and we got no secondary scoring.

The notion of Snow wanting Nino on the first line next season grows bigger and bigger in my mins every day PAP doesn't re-sign.

They actually don't. They are right more than half the time. It's not like eklund where they post bullpoop rumors everyday.

well this season look for Grabner to bounce back now that he's healthy. I read somewhere Isles were going for Jokinen - he'd be a good second line centre. Nielsen and Bailey can't be relied on for poop. Okposo, how many years are we going to watch him try the same toe drag to the outside and get rubbed out in the corner?

I wouldn't be surprised if Snow goes after Penner as well. Bog goof, already has two cups, might like the looks of this developing team.

Grabner I think was a flash in the pan. He is too predictable on his breakaways. The guy telegraphs what he's going to do. Nielsen is a 3rd line center, nothing more, nothing less. Having him as the 2nd line center was asking too much from him. Bailey is a bust. Okposo is overrated, and is a big wussy. Geese are more aggressive then him.

I disagree about Bailey, Okposo and Nielsen. Nielsen was solid all year last season. Both Okposo and Bailey finished off the season strong, having instances that showed why they went in the top 10. I am very excited to watch those 3 next year.
