Play them together, that way it'll be easier for the scapegoaters.

So what # do you think Schenn will wear since 2 is retired?

Hopefully Holmgren rounds out the team with Grandpa Jagr, and Leighton.

So I take it your not liking the team that Holmgren has put together so far?

The first two rounds made very little sense to me, after that players have like a 10% chance of becoming NHL regulars, so it's a crapshoot at that point.

I will reserve judgment to see what happens in free agency.

I was curious about their first round selection, but they've had success there in te past. Tells me they are leaving trade opportunities open for some of their current players. With Laughton supposedly a good two way forward, I hope that doesn't leave room for a couturier trade. Just don't know why else they'd do it unless they are projecting Schenn as a winger. I wonder if Schenns size has anything to do with it if that's the case.

As am I. I'm just puzzled right now, not disappointed or upset with their moves.

Laughton was the best available on their board. They have done a good job drafting forwards in the first round, so they have to get the benefit of the doubt. I was certain they were going to snag Maatta. Disappointed they didn't and the fact he got picked by the Penguins is a double whammy.

Ok...I'm no expert, but if we take the 7.5 million via the 10% cushion and add it to the present offseason cap space we have (INCLUDING LTIR GUYS) at 11.5 mil and change (this is per capgeek and Bill on one of the earlier pages), that's 19 million in space. Give or take.

That's a lot

Carle at 5 per
Czech at 3 per
Parise at 7 per
Biron at 1.5 per
MAB at something like 1 per
Plus 2.5 and change to dish out to a 4th line draws/PK center

Did I do that right?? Please tell me I did that right....I suck with the cap

- Giroux_Is_God

The problem isn't Cap space for the Season. It's the off Season Cap space that is the issue.
