It still amazes me that people see Jones as a 4th line guy. He's got 17 and 18 goals in the last two seasons.

Hemsky doesn't belong on the third line he'd have to be defensively responsible which he is not. Drafting Yakupov made Hemsky expendable.

not sure... you might be able to pry jbo away... but they still refuse to go into rebuild so they are going to want one or more now peices. vishno was odd... bad contract, thn rated him ana most overpayed. I believe that he was dealt because they are intent on bringing back a top d- or top d prospects... and if they dangle ryan...compare that to what edm might dangle for a top d...

That is sure heck of a expensive 3rd line that I would not like to see, even the 4th line is costly. The top 6 has to be shuffled to keep Hemsky on there with Paajarvi stays in OKC for the time being. Forget Smyth, let him go my goodness. See ya Belanger too.

I doubt anybody takes Hemsky before the trade deadline.

I'd rather they do that than remain status quo.

To be honest I wish they would both gtfo.

Here is the thing, I think Tambo can and does want to make moves but as the old saying goes too many cooks in the kitchen! It has to go through Tambo then Lowe than Katz! Let Tambo do his job without Lowe interfering and see how it plays out for a year if no changes then fire Tambo too! THis team has been run poorly since Lowe was brought in, that my fellow Oiler fans is FACT!

Yes whether he wants to admit it or not he will have to start rebuilding and shedding those NTC contracts...if I'm our dunder head GMs I'd start with next years second rounder and go from there...2013 second round pick and maybe one of our forward prospects as a start...

Thats fine Hemsky if fine on the 2nd line! The Oiler now have 2 top lines! That is NOT a bad thing! All they really need is Shultz (if signs) and maybe another Dman (band aid) until one of Klefblom, Marancin or GErnat are ready to make the nest step! One thing is for sure the management is sticking to their word with a SLOW rebuild! The problem is, if they fail to win a Cup no team will do a slow build EVER again!

Yeha you may be right but would you have taken Vish for our 2nd and Omark? Do keep in mind our 2nd was a higher pick and Omark was a toss away due to too many contracts on the books! Or even swap 2nds and Omark for Vish?

This isn't rocket science folks the Oilers have things of value, don't kid yourselves!
